Biography
The son of Nimrod Hiram Andrews, born 1789, Lafayette, Virginia, died March 22, 1855, Franklin Co., GA and Jane L. Brazier, born 1782, North Carolina, died 1870, Banks Co., GA
His siblings were:
Adam Andrews, 1806-1905, married lst. Adell Sanford; 2nd, Martha Lambert
Between 1850 and 1852 he married Levinia E. Pruitt Freeman in Banks Co., GA. He and Levinia (Vinnie) had one child, Andrew Jackson Andrews. born April 19, 1853, in Georgia. They left Georgia and came to Texas. Nimrod P. Andrews died in Dec. 1879 in Houston Co., TX (grave site unknown).
Military Record: company A, 2nd Regiment, Georgia Volunteer Infantry Army of Northern Virginia, CSA, N P Andrews, Private.
He enlisted on April 20, 1961 and was discharged on July 23, 1861 in Sananna, Georgia on a surgeon's certificate of disability. (Volunteer being incapable to perform the duty of a soldier by reason of malformation of the right foot, rendering him unable to keep step in line. His malformation being known as club foot)
