Biography

Charles was the son of John MacAndrew and Mary Ridgley. He may have been born in Kingstown; it is not known. He was a freeman in 1704, by which his birthdate may be suggested. He died in East Greenwich RI. His will was written in June 1758 and proved January 30, 1762, naming his son Edmund as Executor. He bequeathed most of his farm (275 acres) in Coventry RI to his son Charles, while his land in East Greenwich went to his son Jonathan. Edmund, the youngest son, received the homestead farm.
