In 1860 he lived with his parents in Nora Township, Jo Daviess, Illinois. [2]
He served in Company B, 142nd Regiment, Illinois Infantry, during the Civil War.[3]He drew a pension for this service in his later years up until his death in 1917.[4]
He married Elmira Cornell 4 Mar 1869 in Franklin, Iowa, United States.[5]
In 1870 [6] he and his new bride Elmira were living in Morgan, Franklin County, Iowa.
In 1880[7] and 1885 [8] the family was in Scott, Franklin County, Iowa.
In 1900[9] and in 1910 the family was in Boyd, Nebraska.[10]
He died 24 Dec 1917 in Bonesteel, Gregory, South Dakota, United States.[4]
