Biography
Maunsell was born about 1690. He was the second son of John Andrews (d. 1732) of Rathenny and his wife Elizabeth Cole daughter of Sir Robert Cole, kt. of Ballymackey, Tipperary.
He married in 1719 Elizabeth Toler (daughter of Nicholas Toler of Beechwood, County Tipperary) and had the following children:

Maunsell Andrews, Lt. in 83rd Foot (m. 1774, Mary, daughter of Unknown Alley and widow of Samuel Gason (d. 1772) and had issue)
Jane Andrews (m. 1759, George Jackson)
Eleanor Andrews (m. 1761, Richard Hawkshaw (perhaps the same man as her cousin had married earlier)
Catherine Andrews (m. 1759, George Pepper)
He inherited Rathenny estate from his elder brother Robert Andrews who died in 1743.
