I recommend dropping the Andris surname on this record and keeping Andrews. The Andrews family is well documented in Burlington County, New Jersey, and Elizabeth was a member of this family.

Hi Jeff and Donald,

According to John W. Haines's "Richard Haines and his Descendants." Boyce, VA: Carr Publishing Company, Inc. 1916. Vol. I, p. 209, Levi Haines married Elizabeth Andrews, daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Warrington) Andrews. Elizabeth was still alive when she and "her two youngest children were received Middleton MM, Ohio, 7 mo. 14, 1804, from Southland MM, Virginia, on certificated dated 5 mo. 2, 1804. The family had moved from New Jersey, 1st to Virginia and then to Ohio. Whenever she died, it was probably in Columbiana County, Ohio.

Best, Joann

Andris-2 should be merged into Andrews-954, as they appear to be the same person for the following reasons: 1) The only reference to Andris as maiden name is in a Find-A-Grave page that has no grave image. It could have been indexed with a misspelling. 2) There are a couple indexes (provided by Ancestry.com) showing the name to be Andrews. 3)There are several mentions of the Haines family in multiple Quaker meetings. These same meetings also mention Andrews family members. I have not yet found a mention of an Andris family.

Note: Neither profiles have been edited or commented on in the last 4 years.

Andrews-954 and Andris-2 are not ready to be merged because: This looks to be a match but differences in Elizabeth's maiden name deserve further scrutiny.
