Ludie Ruth Ange was born on 23 October 1909 in Washington, North Carolina, United States, daughter of James Malachi Ange (1877–1953) and Claudie Jane Padgett (1884–1962).

Ludie (22) married Charles Lee Spruill (23) (born) on 27 February 1932 in Plymouth, North Carolina.
Ludie died on 18 March 1993 in Washington, aged 83. She was buried in Windley Cemetery, Plymouth, Washington County, North Carolina.[1]
