Biography

Joseph Angell and Rebeccca Sams have been detached as parents from this profile as their existence is doubtful and thus there is no documentation of any kind for this person as their son. Do not reattach these profiles as parents absent discussion with Rhode Island Project. Additionally, Jane Schulenbeck has been detached as wife as there is no evidence of a marriage between the man thought to be represented by this profile and someone of that name. ~ T Stanton Rhode Island Project Leader

Angel-355 and Angell-478 need merging.

Jane Shulenbeck, Sheubenbeck, I have seen it spelt many different ways, might have existed as I did find a father for her but not one scrap of proof she was ever married to Samuel Angell, at least not to this one. It was/is a German name so it might behove anyone who is dead set on finding out more about her, if she existed, to swot up on German records of birth, marriage, etc. Good luck

I've gone ahead and detached the parents who are both classified Uncertain Existence. Do you believe we should detach the wife as well?

Definitely.. she is someone, somewhere...just not ours, I'm afraid. I've been so busy on other lines I'm afraid I have not had time to revisit this. Therefore, I have no new clues. Many thanks!
The Jane Schulenbeck who had been attached as wife has been detached. Thanks for your work on sussing out the fictions in this lineage.

My pleasure. If I ever come across the real deal, I will return! Many thanks.
Can't find anything on Jane. Nothing at all.

Samuel G Angell was married to an Anne Hornbuckle on 14 Aug 1745 and they had 3 children with her dying with the 3rd. I think I can dig up the proof from somewhere in my unsightly stack of papers.... or I have it in my computer

And Joseph Angell existed. There was one born every generation, it would seem. Most birth dates I find [not here, necessarily] don't reconcile with birth parents in so many cases.

The parents attached here have no basis in documentation and have both been moved to the Uncertain Existence designation. They should be detached as parents here. Also, the link to Yates History on this profile is broken. ~ Rhode Island Project Coordinator

Angell-560 and Angell-478 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth, date etc
