He and Nancy are "supposedly" ancestors of mine however, there is a thick, grey fog which develops just after William Angell and it faintly covers his offspring, then there is little be known of any of his grand and great-grand children. I have been trying to find common ground and answers for a few years now. I do dislike huge gaping holes between what I'm positive of and nearly positive of [if that is a possibility]. You are correct, there is nowt to be found about them, however, vexingly, the dates all line up perfectly and someone is either very clever at fooling us or there is some truth to it all.

Another thing - his name does not add up. Each generation of Angell's are full of William's, Thomas's, John's, Henry's. Never a Josiah. My father was a William and so was my grandfather, then a John, and a Henry. No Josiah's. So, yes, this name was either made up or someone mis-read it from an old document which can be easy to do.

This person does not appear in any Rhode Island vital records or scholarly research. What is the source for the family connections?
