Aaron Burr Angevine, the son of Anthony Angevine and Esther Burr, was born in Fairfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut in around 1769 and died young, at the age of only 32, on March 4, 1801.[1] [2]
Most genealogies list the wife of Aaron Burr Angevine as Mabel. The source for this name is an Angevine genealogy compiled by Clyde Angevine, who gives his source for the fact as "Letter from #1368 Philip Angevine - who listed Aaron's wife as Mabel and their children: Henry, Polly, Loony and Aaron B. What's certain is that Aaron's parents, Anthony Angevine and Esther Burr, married in Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut in 23 December, 1761[4], lived for a time in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and later moved to New York and Vermont.
Anthony and Esther married in Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut[5]. Property records in Fairfield county show Anthony and Esther Angevine appearing as grantors in transactions from 1782 through 1788, indicating that they lived in Connecticut into the 1780s[6]. By 1790, when Aaron Burr Angevine would have been 21, his father lived in Washington, Dutchess County, New York[7], accompanied by three other males 16 and older who may be Aaron and his brothers. Property records show that Aaron B Angevine mortaged property to Bowers Stawson in Dutchess County, NY in 1796[8].
In around 1797, Anthony Angevine and his family moved to Rutland County, Vermont.[9]. In 1800 Aaron has his own household in Pitsford, Rutland County, Vermont[10]. And in 1801 he died.
