John Apleyard was born on the 14th of February 1707 in Leeds, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and he was christened there, in Mill Hill Chapel, about a week later on the 22nd of February. John's father was Jonathan Apelyard.[1]
John was one of five children born to his father Jonathan and his mother; John's four siblings were Grace (1704),[2] Rachel (1709),[3] John (1711),[4] and Elizabeth (c1713) who died in childhood,[5] who were all born in Leeds and christened there in Mill Hill Chapel.
When John was about 1 years old, in 1708, and his family were living on Timble Bridge, in Leeds, John died, and he was buried in Leeds, in Saint Peter's, on the 29th of May.[6]
