Mary Phillips, wife of Randolph, was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Harris) Apperson. She married Randolph Phillips September 19, 1867 in Roaring Creek. They were married by Joseph Teter. Randolph and Mary Phillips were married after the war was over. They made their home on a farm in the Roaring Creek District of Randolph County, WV where his family was living at the time.
