Source 1: JAMES L. WORDEN— Widely known both in this section and elsewhere, James L. Worden, the genial proprietor of the Hotel Abbott, holds a prominent position in the borough of Red Bank.

Mr. Worden is a son of George R. and Charlotte (Applegate) Worden, both now deceased.

Mr. Worden was bom at Forked River, New Jersey, and his wife was bom at Toms River, New Jersey. They were farming people and they were the parents of two children, James L., and one daughter, who is now deceased.

Mr. Worden was bom in Forked River, New Jersey, January 3, 1869, and received a thoroughly practical education in the public schools of his native place.
