Biography

John James was born to Ebenezer Applegate ^[1] and his wife, Sarah Byrd. Her siblings are Apollo, Salem, Angeline (Dunham, Robbins), Joseph B, Ebenezer, Moses, Sarah (Robinson), Amanda (James), and Helen (Smalley, Brown) ^[2].

John J was a farmer (1850, 1860).

He was married 1853 December 24th near Toms River to Mary Wilbur ^[3]. Their children are Francis A, James Gardiner ^[4], and Joseph C.
