Biography

James Appley, son of James William Appley and Alice (Larrabee) Appley was born in May 1747 at Preston, New London Co., Connecticut, USA. He was a soldier in Queen Anns War although he had only three fingers on his right hand. [1]

He married Abigail Williams, daughter of Isaiah Williams and Abigail (Knight) Williams, on 31 May 1771 at Canterbury, Connecticut.[1]

He died on 18 Sep. 1818 at Canterbury, Windham Co., Connecticut, at age 71.[1]
