When she was 37, she married William Bailey on 03 Jan 1797 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.

Ann was convicted for feloniously stealing 9 Handkerchiefs and was transported to the Colony for 7 Years. She was 37 Years of age at arrival.
Ann Archer was one of 133 female convicts transported to NSW on "Indispensible" departing in October 1795 and arriving NSW 30 April 1796.
Tried at Middley 17 April 1795 for a charge of Breaking and Entering the home of Peter Exton, Lydia (his wife) and Mary Perry (Spinster) and stealing nine silk handkerchiefs worth 20s. Convicted of the theft of the handkerchiefs only, she was sentenced at Middlesex Gaol Delivery for a term of 7 years.
"Prisoner. I had been to Windfield-street, to an acquaintance of mine, and as I was coming home crossing Brick-lane I see these handkerchiefs, lay and I picked them up, and I carried them along open in my hand, to see if anybody would own them.
GUILTY, Of stealing but not of breaking and entering the dwelling house. (Aged 37) "
