On Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, Donna A. Kingma, 61, after a five-year battle with illness, went into the loving arms of her faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born April 2, 1953, in Grangeville, to Dick H. and Bertha (Vrieling) Arends. Donna graduated from Grangeville High School in 1971, and married Darrell Kingma in August 1976.
Donna worked for Bazaar Shoes, First Security Bank and the Gregory FitzMaurice law office.
She is survived by her husband, Darrell; and two daughters, DeAnna (Michael) Waugh of Sneads Ferry, N.C., and Daralyn (Lane) Binish of Tampa, Fla.; and one newly born granddaughter, Wilhelmina Waugh.
Also surviving her are her mother, Bertha Arends of Grangeville; and two sisters, Patti (Ronald) Brouwer of Cadillac, Mich., and Bonnie (James) Brouwer of Grangeville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dick H. Arends.
Donna was a member of the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene.
Donna enjoyed spending time with her family on many camping trips, singing in the church choir, playing her accordion and embroidery.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, 515 W. N. Second St., Grangeville. A burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery.
