Positions and Property

In 1789, Corbin Griffin, sheriff of York County, held a sale of property for unpaid back taxes which included 200 acres owned by Westwood Armistead. [2] This was not necessarily the identical Westwood Armistead to the profiled, as there were more than one by the same name in Virginia.

Death and Legacy

Westwood wrote his will on January 18, 1782, and it was proved on June 22, 1786. [3] In his will, he named his wife and only two of his children, Robert and Westwood. [4]
