There is a John H. Armistead b-1794 in Cumberland County, Virginia at age 56 (Farmer) on the 1850 Prince Edward County, Virginia Census by himself with no family (Link above).

There is a John "A" which could be an H born abt. 1794 in the 1860 Prince Edward Co., VA Census with no family at age 66 also a Farmer.

There are no Nancy Miller's in my family I have identified to-date who would have been living around the time to have married John H. Armistead. I also have not been able to located such a Nancy Miller using FamilySearch.org.

9/1/2023: I looked for possible Nancy Millers that could have been a widow of one of my known Millers that could fit "Nancy Miller" wife of John H. Armistead. One possibility is Nancy (Hundley-425) widow of Barbee Miller (1766 New Kent Co., VA - 1803 Nottoway Co., VA). However Nancy (Hundley) Miller is thought to have been born 12/22/1780 (assumes she was Nancy Hundley; she may not have been. If she was the mother of ALL of Barbee Miller's children, she likely would not have been born no more than a few years after 1780 still making her several years older than John H. Armistead born in 1794. If Armistead Miller was born in 1766, he likely would have married by 1790 the 1st time when Nancy Hundley was only a few years old. In summary Nancy Hundley may not have been Barbee Miller's 1st wife and if she was only 16 when she married Barbee Miller, she would have been born in 1787, but still makes her 7 years older than John H. Armistead.
