A source more reliable than FindAGrave is needed for Rebecca's birth date. Age 24 at the time of her 1665 marriage (which BTW is transcribed in at least one record as 1669) is older than average for the time; also, her husband's est. birth year of 1647 is an unusual match to a bride born six years earlier. -- If she was indeed b. in 1641, this means that her mother was m. in America by 1640 and should have her profile overseen by the PGM project.

The information from the ebook states that Rebekah was daughter of Godfrey Armitage and then states she was grandchild.

I also have record of Godfrey Armitage dying 1671 in Haddersfield, West Riding, Yorkshire, England not in Boston, MA.

Before I merge I must confirm that this is the same Godfrey Armitage who also had son JAMES ARMITAGE 1633 – 1699. I presently do not have a daughter named Rebekah. I only have one child listed in records but I'm sure there are more.

Let me have a few days to investigate this. I've merged a couple of people in the past that I have later found out were not suppose to be merged and it took much time to correct. I don't want to do this again. MG Pitts
