Biography

Descendant

Second child named William in this family. Married Rebecca Nash on October 28, 1720, who was burned to death in his house, on May 12, 1768. Lived on the south-east corner of the main street, Deerfield.

Epitaph: In Memory of Mr. WILLIAM ARMS Who Died Sept 27 1774. In the 82 Year of his Age.

Excerpted from Boltwood's Genealogies of Hadley Families, page 8:

William Arms removed from Hatfield to Sunderland and then to Deerfield. He died 1731. He married, on November 21, 1677, Joanna Hawks. Their children were:
  1. William, born February 14, 1678; died at Deerfield in 1690.
  2. John, born December 25, 1679; resided in Deerfield.
  3. Sarah, born November 21, 1681; married Zebediah Williams.
  4. Margaret, born October 6, 1683; married William Belding.
  5. Hannah, born 1685; married about 1704, Joseph Clesson.
  6. Daniel, born September 11, 1687; resided in Deerfield in 1729.
  7. Ebenezer, born August 28, 1689, died September 25, 1690.
  8. William, born October 26, 1692.
