Notes

"And George the son was strange. Now I know he was epileptic. He would talk to imaginary things on the road." Shirley Cook
Small built man . It seems this was a family trait. an avid collector or
maybe he was a miser. Great Uncle George saved everything he never
walked past a piece of string. it was always picked up and added to the
big ball he kept in their summer kitchen of his and his mothers home.
he needed the string to tie up the twigs he would pick up on his walks,
then the bundles of twigs would be used to start the fire in their wood
burning cook stove. Uncle George was a avid knitter he would make
beautiful diamond socks. He and Grandma Armstrong also made hand
made quilts. I remember the front bedroom of their house in Port
Burwell Ontario Canada having quilts piled from floor to ceiling . so a
piece of material was never wasted either. George never married
always lived with his mother. These memories are from the early 40s.
By Beverly.
Memories of Marie Whitehead.
Epileptic, never married , face scarred fron falling on hot stove. Knit
mittens for great nephews and nieces. These newpaper articles have
no dates attached or the newspapers names on them .
Here is George the youngest of Sarah and John's sons.

with fond affection and some sweet memories .
