Biography

Jean was born in 1691. Jean Armstrong ... She passed away in 1789.

Jean was the daughter of James Armstrong and Jean Jameson and born in 1691. She married Robert Means prior to 1718. She came to America with her husband landing at Boston 4 August 1718. Jean survived her husband some years, she was a very pious old lady, and sang psalms as she lay awake nights to keep the "tempter" away. She died 18 February 1789 of old age, aet. 98 years.[1]

MEANS, of Robert and Jane, John, Sept. 24, 17 Hannah, April 12, 1730. Dorcas, Aug. 20, 1732.
