Funeral services for Mrs. Marvin Armstrong, long-time resident of Walters, were conducted Saturday, October 30 at 10:30 in the morning at the First Unitted Methodist Church, with Rev. Guy Millard and Rev. Mitchell Lowry officiating. Burial in Walters Cemetery was directed by Wyatt Funeral Home. Mrs. Armstrong died in Walters Wednesday, October 27. She was born in Red River County, Texas, and was united in marriage to David Marvin Armstrong December 24, 1912 at Randlett. Her husband preceded her in death March 4, 1965. For many years Mrs. Armstrong and her husband operated stores first at Marlow and then at Walters. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. For over 30 years she was a teacher of the Philathea sunday school class in the local Methodist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Effie Stewart of Walters and Mrs. S.E. Lockmiller of Clovis, New Mexico. Also two daughters, Doris (Mrs. William Wilkins) and Naomi (Mrs. J.B. Minton), both of Walters. A foster son, Myung Woo Lee, with his wife and three children recently immigrated from Seoul, South Korea. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
