Biography

Margaret Ida Armstrong was born on 12 Nov 1864 in Washington.^[1][2] She was the daughter of Christopher H. Armstrong, b. New York, and Sarah V. Smith, b. Maryland.^[1]

James Coldwell and Margaret Armstrong were married about 1886.^[2] Based on census and other records, they had two children:

• Helen Rose Coldwell, b. Oregon Feb 1887
• Margeret Virginia Coldwell, b. Washington April 1891

In 1900, Margaret Coldwell lived in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, with her husband James Coldwell and two daughters. James worked as a purchasing agent.^[2]

Margaret Armstrong Coldwell died on 26 Sept 1921 at Portland, Multnomah, Oregon,^[3] at the age of 57 years, 10 months and 17 days.^[1] She was buried at the Greenwood Hills Cemetery, Plot: Sec 5, Lot 19, Grave 3, Portland, Multnomah , Oregon.^[4]

Margaret's father was born in New York and her mother in Maryland. Margaret and James have been married for 14 years, and Margaret has had 2 children, both of whom are living. James came to the United States in 1876.
