Biography

Joseph Armstrong came from Bennington 1776; settled in the northeast part of Pawlet and kept tavern some 25 years. His wife died in 1810, aged 62. Their son Phineas m. Eunice, dau. of Zebadiab Andrus Jr., and settled at the village. Phineas died in 1836 aged 50. (p. 161)^[1]

Zebadiah Andrus, b. at Norwich in 1744; d. at Pawlet, VT in 1830, aged 86; m. his second cousin Judith Andrus, born in 1756; died at Mt. Tabor, VT in 1850, aged 94. (p. 201) Children of Zebediah and Judith: Eunice, b. 7 Aug. 1788; still living at Pawlet Vt in 1867; m. Capt. Phineas Armstrong who d. in 1836 aged 50. (p. 202)^[2]
