Ottiewell Wood Armstrong was born on December 31, 1905 in Garretts Bend, Lincoln, West Virginia, United States.
O. married Evah Katherine Holley (born July 8, 1910 in Danville, Boone, West Virginia; daughter of Ernest Develon Holley (1875–1948) and Mary B (Morris) Holley (1890–1982)). Their children were:
- Barbara Kay Armstrong (1937–1987)
- Yvonne Armstrong (abt. 1938– ).
O. died in May, 1977 in Reynoldsburg, Franklin, Ohio, United States, aged 71. He is commemorated at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.[1] [2]
