John A.M. Armstrong was elected to the Canadian House of Commons in 1911 as the member for York North and re-elected in 1917. He ran in the elections of 1908 and 1921 as a Conservative and lost both elections. Prior to his federal political experience, he served as reeve of King Township council in 1908.[1]
Born in 1877, he was the third son of Arthur Armstrong and Mary Bosworth.[2] He married Alice Henrietta Armstrong in 1900 in Alliston, Ontario.[3]
He died in Lloydtown, Ontario, of an acute infection in 1926. At the time of his death, he worked as a conveyencer.[4]
