Biography

Margrete Arntsdatter was born in Norway

Margrete was born, roughly estimated, about 1640.

She was betrothed to Niels Torbjørnsen on 31 January 1671 in Skien.^[1].They probably married in Holla later in the same year.

She is mentioned as the widow of Niels' in his probate of 1676.^[2] No other family members are mentioned. She can not have been the mother of any of the children mentioned at Torbjørn Nielsen's probate in 1694,^[3] as they all must have been born before 1671.
