His second wife's name comes from a Find-a-Grave memorial for Mary Brush who is shown to be the mother of John Henry (b. ca. 1833), Allison W. (b. ca. 1834), and Ira R. (b. ca. 1839). There are no sources indicating where her maiden name came from. Her grave marker matches that of John Henry.[3]
There is also a record for the registration of their son John Henry's grave with the Armed Forces. It gives his mother's name as Mary Prush [sic].[4]
