1880 Lawrence and his family are living in Jefferson Township, Owen County, Indiana. He is 9 years old, and his sister Eliza is 7.^[1]

1892 Isreal marries Mary Rachel Fulk, daughter of Andrew & Harriet (Wright) Fulk, on 4 December.^[2][3]

1900 Isreal is living with his parents and is listed as a widow. His three children are also in the household: Homer (7), Lewis (6) and Bertha (3).^[4]
