Biography

Mary was born about 1811 in what is now Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Mary was the child of Henry Arnold and Sarah Mabee. She and John Hale were married in what is now Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 1851 Census of Etobicoke, York County places her living with her husband and family near her uncle Jesse Mabee and his wife and family. She passed away in 1896 in what was then the Township of Toronto, Peel County. and would now be called Mississauga, Ontario.

1851 Census gives year of birth 1810, 1861 and 1871 Census as 1811, Death registration gives 1809.
