Biography

Abraham Arseneau was born 12 Mar 1720. He was the son of Abraham Arseneau Jeanne Gaudet. He was baptized the day he was born at Beaubassin, Acadia. His godparents were Jean Arseneau and Anne Arseneau. [1][2][3]

He married Agnes Cire, daughter of Pierre Cire and the late Claire Cormier 13 Feb 1747 at Beaubassin, Acadia. Abraham's mother was also deceased at the time of his wedding. Present were Charles Héon et de Derayer[4]

He was at Isle d'Orleans, near Quebec, around 1758.[citation needed]

He passed away before his widow remarried (contract dated FORTIER 23 Aug 1760). [5]

Research Notes

No death/burial record found for him in Drouin. No other event found in Drouin. Statement about he was at Isle d'Orleans is unsourced. m Enbered death location as uncertain based on this.(Bourque-573 23:23, 22 March 2020 (UTC))
