Biography

Birth Registration: First Quarter (January--March) 1905, West Taieri, Otago and Southland Districts, New Zealand. Registration Reference 1905/9123.

Marriage Registration 1945.

Death Registration: Fourth Quarter (October--December) 1955, Mataura, Southland District, New Zealand. Age at Time of Death: 50 Years. Registration Reference 1955/30347.

Following his Death, Edward was Interred in the R.S.A.Section of the Mataura Public Cemetery. It is stated that he was Gunner E. Ashby, New Zealand Artillery, 2nd N.Z.E.F.
