"Ephraim Ashcraft: Ephraim purchased 60 acres of Skie Thorn property from Thomas Cresap in 1745 and sold it the same year. In the land transaction Elizabeth is indicated as his wife. He came forward with his brother Felix to settle his father’s estate. He owned land in Monongalia County (PA) in 1773. He is listed in the 1790 Pennsylvania Census of George’s Township and his household lists 4 females and 3 males over 16. Ephraim was killed by the Indians at Little Bingamon, (now Marion County), West Virginia, in 1791."
