Oct 1829 Harrison County Court...The Last will & testament of Jacob Ashcraft was proved by the Oaths of Benj'n Ellis one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on motion of Andrew Ashcraft & Elizabeth Ashcraft who made Oath thereto and with Wm. Jackson, Elijah Asbury & Benjamin Ellis as security entered into and Ackno. bond in the penalty of $3000 conditioned as the law directs and certificate is granted them for obtaining letters of Admin on the Estate of said Ashcraft dec'd with the Will annexed in due form.
