Biography

Rhoda Ashmore was born in 1762 in Province of North Carolina, daughter of James Samuel Ashmore (1742–1785) and Elizabeth Balch (~1740–1820).

Rhody married Elisha Hadden (40) (born on 28 Jul 1759 in York, Pennsylvania) on 9 Dec 1799 in Logan, Kentucky.[1]

Their known son was James Ashmore Hadden (~1804–<1870).

Rhoda died about 1804 in Kentucky, United States, aged 41.

Research Notes

From the "Genealogy of the Balch families in America", she may have been born in Deer Creek, Baltimore, Maryland.

Elizabeth (her mother) daughter of James and Ann (Goodwin) Balch, was born on the North side of Deer creek in Maryland, and was married to James Ashmore [her father] and had seven children: William, James, Samuel, Amos, Hannah, Margaret, and Rhoda.
