Martin's Ferry Charles Ashton, a stove fitter employed at Spence, Baggs & Co's foundry, died on Saturday night of typhoid fever, aged 27 years. He was a member of the Mechanics and Knights of Pythias, which orders will attend the funeral this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Martins Ferry Charles Ashton, who died at the home of his father in West Virginia last Saturday evening, was buried yesterday afternoon at Weeks' Cemetery. He was a member of Ohio City Lodge, No. 54, K. of P., this city, and the Jr. O.U.A.M. The funeral was in charge of the K. of P., who met the remains at the ferry and followed the remains to his late home and thence to the cemetery. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his loss. He was a steady, moral young man, and his family has the sympathy of the community.
