Mary Ashton was born in October 1848, in Alverthorpe, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of William Edward Ashton (1824–1883) and Harriet Willoughby (1827-1885).

Her first husband was James Greenwood, whom she married on the 4th of March 1867, in Alverthorpe, Yorkshire, England. The couple posted banns on the 10th of February 1867, in Alverthorpe, St Paul. [1]
Mary married a second time to Frank Myers, ~1873 in Sweetwater, Wyoming, United States.
Her third husband was Antone Prestopitz, who she married on the 19th of December 1877, in Rock Springs, Sweetwater, Wyoming, United States. [2]
Mary divorced Anton on the 22nd of September 1891, in Routt, Colarado, Umited States. [3]
Mary died in 1891 in Moffat, Saguache, Colorado, and exact burial details are unknown. Anecdotal evidence suggests she was buried in lone grave on a high mountain desert of Colorado.
