Disambiguation

Not to be confused with Rebecca Ashton-62, married to David Stout.

Rebecca Ashton is the daughter of John Ashton. Unsure of her mother. probably John Ashton's second wife, Elizabeth Cole White.

Christening: October 12, 1735[2]

Rebecca married Jeremiah Stillwell,Esq., son of Jeremiah Stillwell, Esq., son of Nicholas Stillwell, the first.

Died about 1749

Birth date discrepancy

Some sources have her birth date as 12 Oct 1735, This would not make sense, as she would be 14 years old and mother of 10 children. Sometimes 12 October 1735 is her wedding day. It was probably close to that date but probably a little earlier, about 1730.

Looking into her husband, Jeremiah Stillwell. There is lots of conflicting data. I do believe the Historical and genealogical Miscellany, Early Settlers of New Jersey and their Descendants by JOHN E. Stillwell M. D. That he was" the son of Jeremiah Stillwell, Esq., son of Nicholas Stillwell," Is everyone in agreement?

Ashton-933 and Ashton-801 appear to represent the same person because: I believe they're the same person.
