Biography

Margaret Ashton, the daughter and coheiress of Sir Thomas Ashton of Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire,^[1] by Margaret, daughter and heiress of Ralph Staveley, was the first wife of Sir William Booth of Dunham Massey, Knt.,^[2] and the mother of George and John Booth.^[3]

Her date of death is unknown. Her husband remarried and had eight more children with Ellen Montgomery before dying in 1519.^[3]
