lt is 11 years since there was a wedding in our Church of England until 24th ult. ; and, strange to say, the bridegroom in the last case was a brother to the one who did the trick recenty).
The marriage referred to was that of Miss Levina Grace Aspery, second daughter of Mr. John Aspery, of Sackville, to Mr. Frederick Booker, a son of Mr. John Booker, Surry Hills, Sydney. Rev. W. Nawton, M.A., officiated. The bridesmaids were Misses Booker and Robinson, from Sydney, and the groomsmen were Messrs. R. Booker and "Jack" Aspery. The bride was given away by her father. The church was tastefully decorated by the friends of the bride. About fifty relatives and friends were present at the breakfast. Rev. Mr. Newton proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom in felicitous, terms. He was particularly complimentary to the bride, who had always taken an interest in the church work. She was a 'member of the choir, and sometimes helped at the organ. He considered that Mr, Booker was a wise young man to book her. (Ahem !) The presents were numerous.
BOOKER—ASPERY.—February 24. 1904, at St. Thomas' Church. Sackville Reach, Lavinia Grace Aspery to Frederick Thomas Booker. Present address, Errolholme, Killoola Street, Concord West.
