Elijah Athy Jr. son of Elijah and Mary Athy, was born on 2 June 1755 at Wakefield Plantation, Charles County, Maryland.[1]

He married Mary Jane Thurman (born Charles Co., Maryland circa 1764; died Licking Co., Ohio, 1 August 1839), daughter of Elizabeth and Francis Greene, circa 1786 at Prince George's County, Maryland.[1]

Served during the Revolutionary War in Captain Hezikiah Wheeler's Company, Eleventh Battalion, Prince George's County, Maryland Militia, April 1781, and Captain McPherson's Company, Twenty Sixth Battalion, Charles county, Maryland Militia.[2]


Lived at "Wakefield Plantation," Charles County, Maryland.

Appears tax list, Prince William County, Virginia, 1785 and 1787.
