Biography
Robert was born in 16 April 1859 in Fayette County, now Lamar County, Alabama. He was the son of Martin Atkins & Nancy Kemp. Robert married Mary C. McNees 25 December 1879 in Lamar County, Alabama. Robert Atkins passed away 7 December 1949 in Lamar County, Alabama. He is buried at Furnace Hill Cemetery, Vernon, Lamar County, Alabama.
Robert Franklin Atkins is a brother to William Jefferson Atkins who married Tabitha Darcus "Bithy" Church. Tabitha Darcus "Bithy" Church is step sister of Mary C. McNees. Therefore brothers married sisters. [1]
