Birth record and parents not yet identified. However, in the 1891 England and Wales Census, he is recorded, aged 76, widowed, Living On His Own Means at St Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. ^[1]

Heyward St Leger Atkins died in 1891 at St. Helier, Jersey ^[2] and apparently left investments in Australia to his daughter, Susan Amy Atkins.
