Dorothy was born in 1908. She is the daughter of Jesse Atkinson and Zula Lee. In 1930, the family was living in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Children in the home were Lilly, Dorothy and Annie.[1] Dorothy's father was a salesman for Comptons Books, and her mother was a teacher. They appeared to be fairly well off as they owned a home that was valued at $15, 000, much more than some others listed in the census.
It is not yet known if she married, or when or where she passed away.
