James Kerry Atteberry was born on January 26, 1900 in Corona, Walker, Alabama, USA, son of Thomas Jefferson Atterberry (1862–1939) and Malissa Evelyn Johnston (1866–1923). [1]
James married Ila Jane Feltman (born in 1904). Their children were:
- Pauline Catherine Atteberry
- Marjorie Gladys Atteberry (1921–1993)
- Georgia Magline Atteberry (1928–2000)
- James Carey Atteberry (1932–1932)
- Jimmy Thomas Atteberry (1935–1935)
