Biography
Emma Leocadia Atwell, daughter of Francis Atwell and Anna Devine - both natives of Ireland, was born on 8 April 1870 in Alamo township, Kalamazoo county, Michigan.
Emma was wed to Patrick Paul Bowen on 8 July 1891. They had three known children:
- Katherine Maria Bowen, born 4 Apr 1892;
- (Rev. Father) Francis Stephen Bowen, b. 4 May 1894;
- Clarence Anthony Bowen, b. 31 Jul 1896.
Emma Leocadia Atwell Bowen died on 9 May 1952 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo county, Michigan, and was buried on 12 May 1952 at Riverside Catholic Cemetery in Kalamazoo. [1]
