DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Eleazer by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Eleazer:
I was able to link to the page 721 of Volume 1 of the elusive Massachusetts & Maine Family Histories compiled by Leonard Smith. It does have Eleazer Atwoods family listed, but says he was probably the grandson of Stephen and Apphia. Kind of excited to see if there's anything about my descendants of Stephen and Apphia!
