Elizabeth was born in 1570 in Aber-Cynrig, Llanfrynach, Breconshire, Wales. Her parents were Lord Jenkin Awbrey, Awbrey of Cantreff and (Unknown) Awbrey. She married John Madoc/Maddox, Lord of Scethrog and had issue. After her husband passed away in 1639 in Cheshire, England, she eventually travelled to the American Colonies where her son Thomas, his wife Rebecca Ann, and several of their children were living in Warrosquyoake, Virginia, British Colonial America - Jamestown, Virginia. Her son Thomas and Rebecca Ann passed away there.
She passed away in February of 1654 in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. Her body was returned to England with Burial on 22 December 1654 in St Mary, Harrow, Middlesex, England. [1]

1600. John Mattox Lord of Morgan, son of Thomas Maddoc Lord Llanfrynach and Miss Morgan, was born about 1570 in England and died on 7 May 1639 in Chester, Cheshire, England about age 69. John married Lady Elizabeth Aubrey.
The child from this marriage was: 800 i. Thomas Mattox Lord of Seethrog Maddocks
1601. Lady Elizabeth Aubrey, daughter of Lord ____________ Aubrey, was born on 12 Jan 1570 in England and died in 1654 in Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts at age 84. Elizabeth married John Mattox Lord of Morgan.

Also, the preferred spelling of the county is Brecknockshire, again it is used by the Wales Project. Breconshire is an Anglicized spelling.
Note that a second spouse John Maddox has been added. The two Johns are very far apart in age.
