Nathan and Fanny lived in Brooklyn, NY in the 1920's and 1930's with their son Hyman.[1][3]
In 1940, as a widower, Nathan and his son, Hyman, still lived in Brooklyn but now as lodgers in another household[4]
Note
There is significant conflicting information in the New York census records for Nathan Auerbach in 1920 and 1930. It turned out that there are 3 Nathan Auerbach's, all within 5 years of the same age, all with wives named Jennie (or Jannie or Fanny or Fannie) and, making matters worse, 2 of them have a child named Hyman.[5]
There are a few birth/death records for Nathan Auerbach, but which, if any, are for this Nathan Auerbach has not been determined.[6]
